Predictive text is an input technology that should suggest you words as you type texts. Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus use it by default, with the purpose of making the life of their users easier. The problem, however, is that not everyone appreciates getting word suggestions based on the message context and the first letters that they type.
Some people enjoy using it; at least from the moment they get used with the feature. Others feel like it rather slows them down, requiring extra attention to avoid typing a word that the Predictive Text suggested and automatically typed in, though they were planning to write something else.
If you want to learn how to turn this feature On or Off, just read the following simple, step-by-step instructions. Then, it’s up to you to decide if and when you want to use Predictive Text on Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus:
- Swipe from the upper of the screen;
- Tap on Settings in the newly opened Menu;
- Go to Language & Input;
- Select the Samsung Keyboard;
- Browse until you find the feature Predictive Text;
- Tap on it and select On.
As expected, when you want to turn it off, you follow the same path and tap on Predictive Text for Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus to switch it from On to Off.
