Whether it’s the Multi Screen Window Mode or the Split Screen View that you’ve heard people talking about, they are one and the same. A special feature of Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus devices that will let you access multiple windows and visualize them on the same screen of your smartphone.
Are you tempted by the idea of using two apps at the same time? Then you need to know that the function is available on your smartphone, but first you have to activate it. In this article, we’re going to show you how to enable the Multi Screen Window Mode and how to actually use the Split Screen View, once it became active.
Step 1 – Enable the Multi Screen Window Mode on Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus
This special mode is actually listed under a sub-menu with the same name. Suffices to access the general settings of your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ Plus and you will probably know where to look for it on your own:
- Swipe the Menu bar;
- Tap on the Settings icon from the upper-right corner;
- Look for the Device section;
- Tap on Multi Window;
- Look at the top right corner of the display for the Multi Window special toggle;
- Switch the toggle from Off to On;
- Tick the box next to the option “Open in Multi Window View” so that the mode will remain enabled and act as the default option from now on (or until you decide to turn it off).
Step 2 – Start using the Split Screen View on Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus
The first sign that the Multi Screen Window Mode was enabled and you can start using it right away is a special icon that should show up on your screen.
So right after you’ve finished with the instructions on step 1 and you left the menus, look for a grey semi-circle or half circle. Tap it with your finger and the Multi Window will come to the top. You can start using it right away and drag icons from the menu that you want to open in this window.
Also, you will probably feel the need to adjust the size of the Multi Window screen, which you can do by pressing the circle in the middle of the screen, holding it and relocating it to a different spot on the screen.
Pretty simple, right? Now go get some practice, that’s the best way you can learn how to use the Multi Screen Window feature on Samsung Galaxy S8.
