It can be common on the new Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge for the touch key light to not function properly. The phone has two touch keys on each side of the main Home key. These elements are meant to light up as soon as the smartphone is activated, to help the user in poor light conditions.
If your touch keys don’t light up as they should, here we explain a step by step solution that could help. In many cases your lights are not broken, they are simply switched off. Follow these steps to ensure yours are turned on:
- Ensure your Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge is turned on.
- Open the Menu.
- Open Settings.
- Go to “Quick Settings”.
- Find and select “Power Saving mode”.
- Select “Restrict Performance”.
- Tap the box beside “Turn off touch key light” to check and uncheck it.
Now your touch key lights should be back on and working just fine.
