The Heart Rate monitor can be a pretty cool instrument on your Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ Plus smartphone. At the same time, it can also be another source of problems, the moment it stops working or when it doesn’t seem to display data accurately and correctly, like some of our readers reported it does.
This article is, therefore, a surprisingly simple solution that you can try when you find yourself in the very same annoying situation: check the protection foil!
Sometimes, some owners, too excited about their brand-new smartphone, forget to remove this thin protective foil. When that happens, the measurements simply cannot be accurate.
The thing is that all Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus devices come with this protective film. The purpose is to offer enhanced protection against any kind of damage that might occur during transportation. But the foil is so thin that you can barely notice it and barely pick it up, so it’s no wonder if you didn’t see it in the first place.
This is also the reason why the best way to remove the foil is to use some scotch tape. You stick it on the area where the foil is and when you pull the scotch film off, it should come off with the protection foil of the smartphone’s heart rate sensor.
Once this film removed, the heart sensor should work flawlessly, just as it was supposed to. So, from now on, you can monitor your heart rate with confidence.
