Want to know how to create folders for the many apps you have been installing on your Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ Plus smartphone? There are little things easier than this particular task and you are about to find out why in just a few minutes. Samsung is very serious about the options it gives to its users when it comes to organizing information and decluttering the working space. That’s why you have several different ways at your disposal to organize your widgets, apps, and general icons.
The simplest way, the one that we recommend to all our readers, is the drag-and-drop function. You drag one app, icon, or widget on top of another app, icon, or widget, and all of a sudden you see the two of them grouped under the same folder. That’s about the time when you are also asked to type in a name for what is now called New Folder and personalize it so you will know what content it has inside.
After the first step of reuniting two apps, you can continue adding even many other icons in the same folder or you can repeat the procedure to group two other icons under a new folder.
The second method that we would like to teach you isn’t more complicated either to create folders on Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus:
- Choose an app to insert in a new folder;
- Select it and hold it;
- Drag it to the top of the screen;
- Release it on the New Folder option;
- Edit the New Folder’s name;
- Use the keyboard to press Done and end the process.
Of course, just like with our first method, you can repeat the steps until you bring as many icons as you want. Or you can create a new folder on the Home screen of your Samsung Galaxy S8+ Plus and add other icons in it. You’re free to choose the names, the position of these folders on the screen, as well as their content.
