Your contacts list must be filled with all kinds of details. Some of them involve personal connections, others might be co-workers or business partners. Either way, changing the contact settings on your Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ Plus can help you declutter things a little bit.
In this article, we’re going to show you the one setting that can line up all your contacts by their last name. It will help you in times when you’re trying to make business calls, but also when you have more members of the same family in your agenda and you’re not sure exactly who to call.
The 4 steps that will sort your contacts by the last name:
- Access the smartphone’s Menu and go to Contacts;
- Tap on More and select Settings;
- Go to the menu item “Sort by”;
- Select “Last Name” instead of “First Name”.
After you exit the menu and get back to your agenda, all the contacts will, indeed, be listed by their Last Name. If and when, for whatever reasons, you want to revert the order, you’ll simply have to follow the four steps from above and switch back from “Last Name” to “First Name”.
