How To Scroll Faster On Galaxy S8 Web Browser

These days, more and more people use their smartphones to navigate online and gather all kinds of information. And websites adapted, implementing anything from responsive web design to dedicated mobile websites and dynamic serving. But what do you do when the websites you’re trying to access are fully equipped to offer you a flawless mobile experience, yet your Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ Plus Internet browser is moving too slow?

This is particularly available when accessing websites with lots of images and animation. That’s when your browser will probably move the slowest, almost making you want to give up on that website. Before you do that, take some time to try and test a secret option.

This option can be accessed from a hidden menu of Google Chrome. It relates to how your browser uses the RAM of the device and how easy it will later be for it to upload images and allow you to scroll through large blocks of text without the previous lag.

Whether you’re using a Samsung Galaxy S8 or a Galaxy S8+ Plus, the following commands will work just the same:

  1. Launch Google Chrome;
  2. Write Chrome://flags in the URL bar;
  3. Start scrolling down until you find the option Maximum tiles for interest area (or the sequence #max-tiles-for-interest-area, whatever you see first);
  4. Select the Default drop-down menu and switch it to 512;
  5. Tap on Relaunch Now.

With this final step, you just confirmed the changes. You can now begin typing in whatever website address you need to access and start testing if and how fast can you navigate through it.

Don’t let yourself intimidated by that large warning from the beginning of the Flags settings page. As long as you only edit the Maximum tiles for interest option, there’s no need to worry that you will affect the functionality of your smartphone or the stability of the web browser. Some of those options, though tempting, might do just what the warning says. After all, they are beta testing or upcoming features, not fully tested, and, therefore, unpredictable.

But you’re just doing this little tweak and leave the menus. From now on, your Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ Plus browser should handle significantly better and faster any website address. Images, gifs, other animations will be easier to watch, without annoying you every single time.
