Want to uninstall apps and widgets from your Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ Plus? If you need some extra space and more memory to use your smartphone for new purposes, you might be thinking of getting rid of pictures, music, and videos. But what if it’s not enough and you need to remove some apps just as well?
It might feel intimidating. Nevertheless, just as downloading apps is piece of cake, so is deleting apps. It will help you earn more space, have a smartphone that performs faster, declutter your Home screen and make some order among your apps and widgets. Before you consider adding more memory to your device, make sure you’re properly using the one that you currently have.
How to uninstall apps in 3 steps
We promised it’s a simple process and we’re going to prove it to you. As an app relating to settings, you will need to access the general Apps icon from the Home screen of Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus. Once in there, you will see a list with all the apps currently installed on your smartphone. Here’s what you need to do:
- Browse the list until you find an app that you want to get rid of – tap and hold it;
- Once you have selected an app, the grid of icons starts shrinking, while the bar of options pops up at the top of the display – drag the app over the Uninstall button up there;
- Tap on Uninstall, confirming that you want to delete the app and wait for the process to finish.
After that, you can repeat the steps for any other app that you want to get rid of. One by one, these apps will disappear from Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus.
