Mac OS Sierra: How To Fix Sound Not Working Problem

If you own a Mac, you might have recently upgraded to the Mac OS Sierra. Many users have complained about volume difficulties on the new system.

Adjust Output Source

Change Audio Port Settings

  1. Open System Preferences
  2. Go to sound.
  3. Change the setting from HDMI to use a Headphone port.

 

Restart Apple System with PRAM

  1. Shutdown the Mac.
  2. Switch the Mac back on.
  3. Hold Option-Command-P-R keys combined before the gray screen has a chance to appear.
  4. Hold the keys until the computer restarts.
