Now that you know you have this option, you are probably curious how do you activate it and what settings you have at hand. Because yes, filming in slow motion with your smartphone is more than just toggling a switch on and off.
How to record videos in slow motion on Galaxy S8 / Galaxy S8+ Plus
Begin by launching the camera app of your smartphone:
- As you are looking through the camera, with the live images on, tap on the Mode button from the display;
- You will see a list with different camera options extending on your display;
- Identify and select the Slow Motion Mode.
In only 3 simple steps, you have activated this filming mode. Important to remember, as long as it stays active, every time you start your camera and try to film something, it will do it in Slow Motion. If you want to adjust the speed of this effect, you will have to get back to the Settings of the camera app and pick one of the 3 options available in there:
- The lowest slow motion effect is x1/2;
- The medium slow motion effect is x1/4;
- The best slow motion effect is x1/8.
