One awesome thing about the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus is the ability to view open apps in ‘’ Split Screen view’’ or the Multi Window Mode. The following guidelines will explain how you can ‘split screen’ on Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus to enable you to have two open apps running simultaneously.
Note that before you get to use the Split Screen or the Multi Window on Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus, you have to enable it in the Settings menu. The following guidelines will teach you how to first enable Split Screen View or the Multi Window Mode and how to begin using these features on both the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus.
How to ‘’Split Screen’’ in Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus
- To ‘Split Screen’ and Multi Window, enable Split Screen in the Settings menu for you to use the feature;
- Switch on your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ Plus
- Go to Settings
- Go Device> Multi Window
- At the top of your screen, toggle the Multi Window dialog box to ON
- Check the box adjacent to Open in Multi Window mode if you wish to set the content in Multi Window to default.
After the above procedure, check to see whether you have a semi-circle or half-circle on the Galaxy S8 screen. The semi-circle is proof that you have enabled the setting that you are all set to begin using the Split Screen Mode.
To begin using the feature, tap on to the semi-circle with your finger to bring the multi window to the fore. Then drag the icons from the main menu on to the window you wish them to open from. The feature also allows you to resize the window by pressing and holding the circle in the center of your screen and placing it to the new location of your wish.
