When Samsung officially introduced its Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus, everyone was interested in two things: design and tech specs. Lucky for us, the developer looked into a lot more than that during the planning process of these two gems. So aside from an irresistible look and improved performances, the phones came with some new functions and features, all for a better user experience.
That’s why in both Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8+ Plus, closing apps or going from one app to another is easier and simpler than ever. Can’t have enough of your Facebook and Twitter social media accounts? You can juggle between the two with ease. Need to copy some data from your email and send it on WhatsApp? You can do that too. Want to share some photos from the Gallery with an email contact? You name it, you have it.
In this article, we’re going to show you the only 3 steps you will need to bounce from one application to another, without feeling lost or without getting confused about what and where remained opened. The secret is in the soft key from the left of the home button…
How to close and change apps in Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus
- Turn on your device;
- Identify and tap on the soft key from the left side of the home screen, right below the screen;
- From the list of apps that will show on your display, select the one you want to access.
Want to change the app again?
You can go back here, see what’s running, which is the most recent and which is the oldest app that you accessed, and use whatever you need.
Want to close one or several of these apps?
After you tap the soft key and you access the list with apps, just thumbnail right/left and close the application you want to stop.
Bear in mind that this is also the place where you should be able to see exactly how much memory each of these apps is using. This info should help you decide easier what needs to be closed and what you could let run in the background.
