Galaxy S8 Guide To Private Mode – How To Turn On/Off And Configure This Running Mode

Step 1 – Enable the Private Mode on Galaxy S8 smartphone

Private Mode is a feature that you can access with just one swipe and one tap. That’s all it takes to turn it on:

  1. Use two fingers and swipe from the top of the screen;
  2. From the list of options, tap on Private Mode.

 

If it’s your first encounter with this feature, you’ll have to be patient and wait for it to walk you through a general presentation. You will also have to select a PIN code that will be required for authentication from now on.

Step 2 – Configure Private Mode folder on Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Plus

As mentioned, there are a lot of file formats that you can save and store under the Private Mode. All you have to do is to:

  1. Activate the Private Mode feature;
  2. Browse to the files you want to hide;
  3. Select whatever you need to move and then tap the Overflow menu button from the upper right corner;
  4. Select the Move to Private option.

 

The private folder or album that you created on this occasion will only be visible to those who know your PIN code and use it to access the Private Mode. If no one knows that you have this feature On, they won’t even think about searching for your protected folder because it’s invisible.

 

Step 3 – Deactivate the Private Mode on Galaxy S8+ Plus and Galaxy S8 smartphone

Whenever you want to leave this running mode, you can easily deactivate it. Just follow the instructions from Step 1 to get back to the Private Mode option. By simply tapping on it, you deactivate the feature and you turn back to the normal running mode of your Samsung Galaxy S8.
