Go to play store and try to search for the app that you need to open the document. This way, it will be easy to tell whether the app is actually missing or not. When you select the app, Uninstall or Open options will be displayed if the app is already installed on your phone. If it is not installed, use the install option so that you can download the application. It is also possible to open the file using another PDF viewer application for the PDF attachments that you cannot open.
