Huawei P20: How To Close And Turn OFF Background Apps

Closing Background Apps On Huawei P20 And P20 Pro

  1.  Switch on your Huawei P20 and P20 Pro device
  2. From the home screen, you will find the recent apps
  3. Tap on the Active apps icon
  4. Pick End which is found next to the required application. Alternatively, select End All
  5. Tap Ok to Confirm


Disabling Background Data For Twitter

  1. Ensure the phone is on
  2. Select Accounts from settings menu
  3. Select Twitter
  4. Uncheck the label “Sync Twitter”


Closing And Disabling Background Data For All Services

  1. Switch on the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro
  2. Select settings and tap on Data Usage
  3. Expand the context menu. This is done by tapping on the three dots found on the upper right corner on your screen
  4. Un-tick “Auto Sync data”
  5. Tap on OK


Disabling Background Data For Gmail And Google Services

  1. Switch on the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro
  2. Select Accounts from the settings menu
  3. Tap on Google
  4. Tap on your account name
  5. Un-tick Google Services that you wish to disable in the background


Instructions For Disabling Background Data For Facebook

Note that this has to be done from the Facebook menus and here is the procedure

  1. Switch on the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro
  2. Open the Facebook Settings Menu
  3. Tap Refresh Interval
  4. Pick Never
